On the south bank of the Ottawa River, the Canadian capital Ottawa is a grand symbol of what the country stands for: bilingualism, civic pride and wonderful vistas.
Facing Langevin Block (the prime minister’s office) is the city’s most famous landmark - the Centre Block parliament building. Its tall central tower and circular parliamentary library make a great photograph from Gatineau across the river, which is joined to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Rideau Canal by a series of locks. Skating on the frozen canal is a highlight of the huge Ottawa Winterlude festival.
The city’s history is detailed in Bytown Museum by the locks. Opposite is peaceful Major’s Hill Park, overlooked by Château Laurier, a historic hotel named after a former prime minister. Also named after him is Laurier House, his seat of office. Other important national buildings include the Royal Canadian Mint, Supreme Court, and Rideau Hall, the Queen’s official residence when in the country.
The business district and Ottawa Convention Centre are in Downtown, and nearby shopping options include Rideau Mall and ByWard Market - the oldest farmers’ market in Canada and the area with the best nightlife.
Ottawa accommodation on Booking.com includes luxury hotels with pools, B&Bs with parking and apartments near the train station, all easily accessible from MacDonald-Cartier Airport.
Love Ottawa but it can be very busy. Love the location of the Les Suites as everything is within walking distance. The capital buildings, the river, the market, the park and lots of eateries and shopping.

We made the mistake of going to Ottawa in April as many places were closed until May. We made the most of it and went to other museums and were so pleased. The Diefenbunker was incredible and I highly recommend that as a MUST visit! Beautiful days made for great walks- city is safe and clean. Exceptional restaurants. Will visit again- in the summer!

I loved Ottawa! Such a clean and friendly city. It's a little quiet at times and in certain areas, but just make sure to look for the lively areas like Byward Market, Westboro/Hintonburg, and Bank Street. Transit is pretty good. Lots of great restaurants.

A city full of fascinating museums and government-related buildings, many of which you can tour.
Ottawa originally wasn't really on my destination list (a friend told me that stopping over for 1 day would be enough), but surprisingly I spent 3 days in the city and feel like I still had plenty left to see. You can tour buildings on Parliament Hill for free with advance reservation (eg: House of Commons, House of Lords, Supreme Court). There are also a lot of excellent museums like the Ingenium (science), Canadian Museum of History just across the river in Gatineau, National Gallery of Canada (art), and Royal Canadian Mint, just to name a few.
A great place to learn more about Canada, what it means to be Canadian, and gain a lot of cultural and sociological insights.

As I said earlier, my trip to Ottawa was expensive.
As I said earlier, my trip to Ottawa was expensive. Wanted to add in the ticket and then having to walk. I do have a severe back problem and I have a handicap sticker in my window and I still got $125 ticket.
I moved to Ottawa to start a new job and stayed in that apartment for 8 nights before my new apartment was ready to move in.
Great location. Could go to downtown on foot every day.
Close to the OTrain station Pimisi. Very handy.
Nice quiet street. The apartment is really an apartment - with a full bedroom, a living-room, a kitchen with a spacious fridge and all equipment.
Enjoyed my stay there - which helped me to come to my new work energized and happy, giving it a good start
The staff were very nice and accommodating, we were there for a sports event and we needed to take a shower after so the owner extended our checkout to 1:30 pm which was very much appreciated.
The area around the hotel was very quiet, and the seating area outside is well shielded from the road so you can easily picnic there for dinner.
It was only 15 min drive from downtown Ottawa , and few minutes drive from many restaurants and grocery stores.
Our room was great, very spacious, with a very comfortable large bed.
Breakfast was delicious, with lots of options to eat, and quite a bit of space for eating.
The hotel location was very convenient for us, as we were able to walk to many downtown places, and sometimes even to Parliament. For Museums that were a bit farther away, the staff was very helpful in getting us a cab. We also enjoyed attending the Anglican church nearby.
The room was quite spacious and the hotel was right near the location we needed to be! It had a beautiful view of the Parliament buildings of downtown Ottawa. There's a great selection of food in the area (Byward Market), and all of our necessities were met!
The staff were fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
wonderful hotel in an excellent position, just in the heart of Ottawa, very close to the most important places of the city and to shopping centers. Excellent suite provided of all things necessary to live a comfortable experience into the Canada Capital. Staff very friendly
The location was good, close walking distance to the Glebe (cute neighborhood) and downtown Ottawa and Parliament Hill. The brunch spot around the corner also seemed nice (I tried going and there was an hour and a half wait) and the Arlington Five Coffeehouse was nice!
Yes, the hotel is dated, but the location and price cannot be beat. The kids enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed being able to go for early morning walks being right downtown. The kitchenette was decently stocked with amenities. Water pressure was good and water was hot.
This hole has an excellent location. Staff is amazing and extremely helpful!. Rooms are great and have everything you need, even a computer and a printer!!.
I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in downtown Ottawa :)
The room was very clean and had a nice view of downtown Ottawa. I stayed for three days and the cleaning staff was prompt in cleaning the room once. There was also a closet where I could store my clothes in.
The location was great central to downtown Ottawa with multiple restaurants nearby. Having a 2 bedroom suite with a kitchenette worked well for the 3 of us. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The location was great close to downtown and the staff was very friendly and warm. Hotel is sparkling clean. parking with the free electric charger for electric cars.
straightforward budget hotel right off highway. 10 minute drive to downtown. could use upgrade but good value. breakfast room somewhat overcrowded but sufficient.
